Each new parent wants to immortalize the first weeks of his baby. Some go as far as taking a photo every day to create a bluffing montage retracing his first months. Why don’t you try? Between the concepts of framing and settings, and a model not necessarily very involved in the photo shoot, discover our tips to make your baby photos successful.
Put the odds on your side by choosing a quiet place where your child will be comfortably installed. To make him as comfortable and natural as possible, he prefers an environment he knows. Choose a moment without agitation, after mealtime for example.
The star is him
To highlight baby take care of the staging of your portrait photograph. As in a professional photography studio, opt for a neutral background or a white background so that attention is focused on your subject. Your photo tells a story so for an original shoot why not integrate some elements? A swing, a balloon or a soft toy for a shot filled with tenderness. On the outfit side prefer comfortable clothes that won't steal the show, preferably plain or striped for a more graphic style.
Light: the second role
If you choose the morning light you will get more softness in your image. We recommend a more flattering natural light. Avoid the flash and if necessary use artificial light by reflection, by directing it to a wall or ceiling.
The framing: some tips
As for any portrait make your focus on the look or the cheekbone. As for exposure, it can be enhanced to smooth the slightly reddish complexion of an infant. A close-up will then focus on the emotion and emphasize its dreamy or malicious look.
Vary the poses and do not hesitate to multiply the shots to get a beautiful picture of your baby! Enjoy it on a daily basis or offer this unique souvenir to your loved ones through a gallery-quality professional print. A black and white print in Gallery Frame or Acrylic Glass in a Selection format (45 x 30cm) will enhance your baby photos and protect them year after year.
